Realme is the first company that will arrive with an Helio P70 chipset. The confirmation comes from Madhav Seth, the CEO of Realme, and he says that the brand will launch products with the MediaTek SoC on the global scene.
The next generation Helio P70 promises 10-30% boost in AI tasks and a 13% improvement on general tasks. The chipset is an octa-core SoC, and it comes along with the same 12nm process. Also, the chipset will have a support for a Mali-G72 GPU. Besides, both the CPU and the GPU now runs at a higher clock speed. To be more precise the four big cores, Cortex-A73, now run at 2.1GHz, and the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU now runs at 900MHz.
Lastly, we’ve not seen the chipset performing in the benchmark tests for now. But, looking at the performance of the Helio P60 chipset, the upcoming Realme smartphone will perform better than the Realme 2 Pro.
In addition, Sheth confirms on Twitter about VOOC charging with the vague “Why not”, meaning the technology could eventually arrive with the next smartphone by the Oppo subsidiary.
