The Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro are official - Starts at Rs. 9,999

Starting with the entry-level model, it packs a 6.5-inch Fullscreen display. The company says that the screen has got a new mini-drop design. Well, in other words, the notch is 30.9%* smaller than the previous generation. Moreover, this increases the screen-to-body ratio on the phone to a whopping 89%. The single letdown is the HD+ resolution  (720 x 1600 pixels) on this display. Besides, the phone has got a 20:9 tall aspect ratio.

Snapdragon 665 AIE is new.

Important to realize, Realme 5 is no slouch when it comes to day-to-day performance. The all-new Snapdragon 665 AIE with the maximum frequency up to 2.0GHz has a leading 11nm process. Also, the soc packs in the latest Vulkan 1.1 graphics processor. Henceforth, one can notice a boost of almost 20% from the previous generation.

It measures 164.4mm* 75.6mm*9.3mm (Height*Width*Depth) and has got a Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ on the front of the phone.

Say hello to the Realme 5 pro – a midrange phone, but for the power users. Ironically, it is the first time where the Pro model is lighter and smaller than the vanilla variant of it.

Well, we are talking about the 6.3-inch(16.0cm) FHD+ display on Realme 5 Pro. In that case, the phone packs a tad bit smaller display but covers a 90.6% Screen-to-body Ratio at the same time. While the phone offers a more comprehensive and more precise view, it is also more volatile at only 184g.

Snapdragon 712 AIE.

At the first place, the internal specifications on the phone are incredible for the asking price. The Snapdragon 712 AIE features high performance and low power consumption. Well, thanks to the 10nm footprint of the soc which will make for remarkable battery life on the phone. The Snapdragon 712 AIE clocks at 2.3GHz, while the graphics processing architecture is more energy-efficient up to 35%. Also, there’s an improved AI engine which will help in computational processes like speech recognition and image optimization.

The Storage and Battery Configurations 

Again, the RAM & Storage options are;  4/64GB, 6/64GB, and 8/128GB. The storage is UFS 2.1, and the phone has also got the HyperBoost 2.0 for improved gaming on the phone. The standard battery capacity of Realme 5 Pro is 4,035mAh. While the battery on this one is smaller, it supports the VOOC Flash Charge 3.0. The Type-C port on the phone is welcome, and it takes just 1.38 hours to top-up the battery to 100%. Besides, AI Freezer function studies your habits and adjusts the usage of background apps to save power.

Apart from the fancy recording features on the vanilla model, this has also got support for Slow motion in 1080p at 120fps, 720p at 960fps, and 720p at 240fps.

The design and the color schematics on the Realme 5 Pro are also futuristic. The all-new crystal design rear panels on the 5 Pro comes in two different colors: Sparkling Blue and Crystal Green. The phone measures 157mm* 74.2mm*8.9mm (Height*Width*Depth) and have got a Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ on the front of the phone. Qualified for Real Quality, the Realme 5 Pro gets a Splash-resistant Design, as well.
