PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The Oppo Realme 2 is priced well in India. At INR 8,990 (€110), this is the best-looking smartphone in the market. At this price, you will get a 3GB+32GB variant. The 4GB+64GB model will cost INR 10,990 (€130), with other specifications remaining the same. The handset will be available via both Flipkart and Realme online store from September 12 at 12pm. Besides that, you can pre-order your unit today itself. The Diamond Blue color of the handset will start selling in early October. If You are a HDFC Bank credit/debit card holder you can avail Rs. 750 flat discount. For jio users, they can enjoy 120GB additional data and Rs. 2,200 cashback in the form of vouchers.

SOFTWARE

The software on the Realme 2 is not a tremendous upgrade from other Oppo smartphones. It gets the same ColorOS version 5.1 from the Realme 1. The ColorOS skin runs on the same old Android 8.1 Oreo, with no words on Android P support.

The Oppo’s Sub-brand Realme 2 is a dual sim smartphone. It powers a large 6.2″ LCD display, highlighting the notch and a resolution of 720x1520px, with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Display offers 17% larger view than the Realme 1. The screen has one of the highest screen-to-body ratios in the price bracket that stands for an impressive 88.8% screen ratio. Besides that, the Realme 2 supports an unnamed version of Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the handset against damage.

The Realme 2 comes with a dual camera setup on the rear. The primary camera is a 13MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture, and the pairing sensor is a 2MP, sporting a f/2.4 aperture. Realme further grants AI features to boost the colors and accuracy with AI-scene detection and for Face Unlock feature.
