Lenovo after revealing the Lenovo Z5s revealed the first smartphone in the world with 12GB of RAM. The company calls the smartphone as Lenovo Z5 Pro GT as it is the first commercially available handset with Snapdragon 855 chipset inside. With that said, the Z5 Pro GT with latest SoC from Qualcomm is a surprise to us.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is made on a racing theme. Moreover, the overall design of the handset gives to us racing vibes just like the OnePlus 6T Maclaren Edition. The design imitates a carbon design pattern with accents of red to the rim of the top side, the main camera sensors, and the bottom half of the slider.
Departing from the design, the handset has a 6.4” Super AMOLED display with a fingerprint scanner underneath. The sliding mechanism prevails like the Lenovo Z5 Pro vanilla version. The slider hides the 16 MP + 8 MP dual selfie camera setup, while the main shooters are 16 MP primary lens and 24 MP secondary sensor.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT comes in three different variants with the base 6/128 GB version costing at CNY2,698 ($390/€340). The more powerful 8/25 GB variant of the handset costs at CNY3,398 or $500/€440, while the mightiest of all with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage costs CNY4,398($650/€560). Pre-order will embark on January 15, while the official market launch will commence on January 24.
