WSJ reports that the iPhone 11 will have triple cameras

Earlier this week we got up with the first renders of the iPhone 11. The handset is still nine months away from the official announcement, but the rumors mills are already firing up.

With the courtesy of the Wall Street Journal, now we know that the iPhone 11 will gain triple cameras on the rear. In contrast, the iPhone XR successor will obtain a dual camera setup. That’s not all! The source confirms that the iPhone XR will retain the Liquid Retina (LCD) screen and that Apple will likely move to an OLED only lineup in 2020.

The reports leave us to confusion as it doesn’t specify if both the regular and larger iPhone 11 will have triple cameras or if that setup will be saved for the Max variant.

Anyways, we are still a long way behind from the official release of the iPhone 11 line up. We expect Apple to implement an ultra wide-angle camera as the third option.
