The Nokia 8.1 got official in India past in December 2018. The phone was available in its base 4/64GB configuration only, and this is ubiquitous among the masses. Well, the phone cost at INR 26,999 and that’s not cheap by any means for a midrange device.

Today, HMD starts selling the Nokia 8.1 in India with 6/128GB of internal configuration. The company will embark the sales on the phone on February 6. The phone will cost at INR 29,999 (€365) and will be available exclusively through Amazon India. Also, you still get to choose between Blue Silver or Iron colors only.

At this price, one can probably buy a better phone like a Pocophone with SD845 or the older OnePlus 6. In my opinion, HMD needs to revise its pricing on its smartphones in India. Besides that, the phone has a 6.18-inch IPS LCD of 1080x2280px resolution. Under the hood, the phone runs on Snapdragon 710 chipset and has a dual rear camera set up. The main camera is a 12MP f/1.8 conventional lens, while the second lens is a 13MP fixed-focus secondary camera. The selfie shooter on the front is a 20MP unit.
