Essential phone Ph-1 didn’t make a hit in the market of smartphones. Though the company is struggling to sell its first lot of smartphones, the initiatives don’t seem to be successful. Still, the company has now launched the promised Audio Adapter HD for its smartphone, in the US and Canada.
Audio Adapter HD is here. A limited-edition DAC for Essential Phone, delivering one of the best mobile audio experiences available today.

The adapter snaps on the Essential Phone via magnet, and it provides high-res headphone jack. It includes “award-winning MQA technology, revealing the full sound of the original master recording”, Essential says.
The headphone adapter for the Essential phone is made of titanium, and it provides a premium feel to it. Also, the adapter comes along with a high-resolution ESS Sabre DAC and an audiophile-grade amp. Well, this can power high impedance headphones with low distortion. At $149, the dongle is clearly an expensive offering, and it might become a difficult sell for the company.
Essential provides three free months of Tidal, as long as you subscribe to the HiFi music service.
